Last Exit to nowhere

Recently I made a bit of cash on my website.

Instead of getting a new server, I bought film T-shirts.

Yes, it is nerdy.

But these aren't your normal film t shirts with the name splashed across the front, these are way cool (like my t shirt of the warrriors, which someone commented on the other day).

I could explain it, but I would rather show you.

This was the first one I got.



For those not aware, OCP is the evil company that privatises Detroit in Robocop.

See, nerdy can be cool too.

The average person won't know that you are wearing a nerdy t shirt, but the odd person will walk past and will nod at you, and instantly you know they are a Robocop fan.

I also got one that says off world colonies from Blade runner, and the paper sreet soap company from fight club.

There are heaps of them, and they are first class.

Embrace your inner nerd, but do it with style.

fanfarlo - reservoir

Thanks to the great Rob Smyth, the cricket writer's cricket writer, I heard about a band called fanfarlo.

They are from London, or based in London, and don't seem to be very well known.

But they should be.

They have a touch of awesomeness about them.

And they do it cheaply.

Their album, available at their website, is selling for ONE DOLLAR.

Did you say one dollar, i did say one dollar.

Wow.

For that sort of money you could buy twenty albums, all helping the artists, and it wouldn't matter if they all were shit.

Luckily this isn't shit.

It is pretty damn tasty.

It is a lot like Fleet Foxes in my non expert opinion.

A laid back musical couch type feel.

And also the best one dollar album I have ever downloaded.

I suggest downloading the album even if my review doesn't excite you, because it is 14 songs of original content for 1 dollar.

If they do this, and it is successful, perhaps other bands will as well.

Then we can still support musicians and not pay alot of money for music.

Fanfarlo's Reservoir is shit hot. So, go download.

John Woo goes home

There is no doubt that John Woo was done over by hollywood.

When Asia's best director of action film comes to town and all you can start him off with is a jean claude van damme film and a terrible scripts with John Travolta involved, you are all but anally raping his career.

But finally he gets to go home, well not back to hong kong, but to China, which is close to Hong Kong.

He has made an epic. something far removed from his action classics like the killer and a better tomorrow.

It is a trilogy called Red Cliff, and it's opening in the UK shortly.

From the trailer it looks like Woo is going a little Kurosawa in his later career.

Or he could just be trying to cash in on the chinese epic market.

It is just good that he is back making proper movies, I watched 15 minutes of paycheck one day, and fuck me with a feral racoon that was bad.

Dakota Fanning's eyes

Recently I saw a few minutes of an old Malcolm in the Middle episode.

There was a young blonde actress biting someone, it only took one medium shot to work out who it was, Dakota Fanning's eyes are unfuckingmistakable.

She is not a child actress, she is a fucking alien invader.

On HD you can see her plan to take over the world in her eyes.

Someone must stop her.

They need to cut out her eyes and study them so we can plan a defense against the invading alien hordes.

Ridley Scott could direct the whole manoeuvre, he likes working with her.
